The Southern Highlands

The highlands is picturesque, lined with trees and with a distinct clean, crisp air. The towns have an abundance of cafes, antique shops, bookstores, galleries, vineyards, golf courses and gardens.
The map will give you a sense of the geography of the southern highlands and the other towns surrounding Bowral.
It takes about 1 hour and 20 minutes to get there from Sydney if you take the M7.
It's a mostly quiet place - until we get there, of course.

Getting from the Church to the Reception

Here is the map that will take you from the church at Berrima to the reception at East Bowral.

It will take you approximately 15 minutes drive from the church to Milton Park.

The drive will take you back through the centre of Bowral, so you'll be able to stop for a drink or a coffee in between.

When you get to the Google map select the 1st location link on the left of your screen, titled Hordern's.

St Francis Xavier Church, Berrima

Our pretty, pretty little church, St Francis Xavier, is a historic church located in Berrima. It's Victorian Gothic design was by Augustus Pugin. A pretty cool english dude described as a "prolific genius" who produced thousands of designs for furniture, metalwork, stained glass, ceramic tiles, wallpaper, textiles, jewellery and book illustrations. He also produced all the detail in the British Houses of Parliament and the magnificent House Of Lords. Pugin was a busy guy. And we love it.

The Reception at Milton Park

Milton Park is a jewel set amongst the gorgeous highlands. We love this place! If you ever wanted to get lost in a fairy tale, this is where. Wandering around this 300 acre property makes you feel like you're locked in the Secret Garden.
Click on the title of this post to get to the Milton Park website. Yet no photograph can do this place justice.

We suggest you get to the reception at least half an hour early to give you time to wander around the historic gardens and don't forget to check out the field of bluebells that appear in spring!

Transportation

To minimise wait time, the Southern Highlands taxi, hire car and coach service will be informed that on the day of our wedding a number of guests will require a taxi service.

Otherwise, please let us know by Tuesday, November 11 if you would like to share a mini coach and where you are staying so that we can pre-arrange this for you.

Locations around Bowral are fairly close together so a taxi will not be expensive. It is important to us that you don't drink drive.
